Remarkable Raider

Congratulations to senior Hannah Divine, this week’s Remarkable Raider

I would like to nominate Hannah Divine.  Hannah is involved in so many activities at WHS I couldn't even attempt to name them all.  She is an athlete in the fall and spring and she is manager for the boys basketball team during the winter season.  Her duties include keeping stats at home games and keeping the scorebook on road games and picking up "gross sweaty towels".  She faithfully rides the bus with the team to all the games and has spent many evenings and a couple of Saturdays in this role.  She is also a peer tutor for Mrs. Petermann and assists fellow students in picking up recycling and and running the coffee cart.  She is very kind and patient in fulfilling those duties.  She is an outstanding student as well.  She is always prepared and gives her best effort in class every day.  Mr. Conner reports that she volunteered her time to help with STUCO activities when she didn't really have to and does much of the "dirty work" that make STUCO events a success.  Hannah is also student guardian with the Honor Flight and Mr. Hornung describes her as "one of the best" and gave several examples of her kindness and maturity in that role.  Hannah is one of those students that does so many good things that we run the risk of taking her for granted.  She does all of these things with no fanfare and no expectation of recognition. These are just a few of her many contributions to WHS.  She is very, very deserving of this award.

She is an active member of peer chamber and is often the first to volunteer.  She is always reliable, kind, and energetic and always represents the group well.

You could also mention she has been in cheer all 4 years and always helped the younger girls when needed.

She also was asked to be part of student council second semester simply because she was often helping the group outside of being a member.  She was often helping organize events, and volunteering even though she wasn't an official member.  It didn't stop her from doing what was needed. She happily joined in 2nd semester of her senior year because she was asked.

Truly a leader

Hannah will receive $20, from our sponsor Purple Wave
